Treatment Scenario

TMS is a non-invasive procedure administered in a comfortable outpatient setting. A typical session lasts 30-60 minutes and most patients report no discomfort.

During the procedure, an insulated coil is placed over an area of the brain associated with mood regulation. Magnetic pulses are then delivered consecutively to stimulate nerves, and cause underlying changes in brain activity. Many patients report hearing a clicking noise during the procedure, but it’s safe to use headphones or earplugs to diminish the sound. There’s no surgery or sedation of any kind, and patients can resume regular activity immediately after each treatment session.

Insurance Coverage and TMS Therapy

It is our mission to help make TMS therapy accessible and affordable for anyone who qualifies.

After a physician refers a patient for TMS treatment, our team performs a thorough benefit investigation. Our case management team works diligently in pursuit of insurance preauthorization for the service. When insurance coverage is not approved or available, we are committed to helping patients obtain financial assistance.

While TMS therapy is now covered by most health insurance plans, we will continue to work actively at local and national levels to expand TMS treatment coverage for all potential patients.

Consultations & First Appointments

Your initial consultation includes a comprehensive, complete mental health assessment and a detailed introduction to TMS therapy. Most insurance plans cover this cost. We are happy to work with you to determine your best insurance coverage options.
